Jess discovered her passion for belly dancing in 2013 while residing in Egypt when she took her first class in Cairo.
Jess began performing in New Orleans with the Shimmy Shakti Troupe led by Karla-Marie and refined her technique with Chantal Schoenherz. Once moving to Winston, Jess met the amazing and talented “Gypsy” (Paula). Gypsy graciously welcomed Jess to the already well-established belly dance community in Winston and has since supported and elevated Jess’ performance abilities as an incredible mentor.
Jess has also attended workshops with international belly dancing superstars, including Sadie Marquardt, Simon Sako, Jillina Carlano, Dina Tala’at Sayed Muhammad , and Zoe Jakes of Beats Antique.
